
And the only obstacle is that Father has been brainwashed into thinking the people above ground can't be helped. The Institute means well, even if their means to the end can be cruel at times, but what major faction doesn't commit atrocities to reach their goals? They have research that is technologically superior to that of pre-war tech. This whole campaign accomplished nothing. As I hit the trigger, I felt as if I am back to square one. But you routinely hear Knights and Paladins talk about how much they hated Lyons. One of the main complaints about Elder Lyons was that he *did* help out other people. For what? An organization that will just return to the capital wasteland where there is clean water afterwards? The BOS helps nobody but themselves. You've destroyed a technically advanced city, killed innocent people, and nuked half of downtown Boston.

Here's what you accomplish with the BOS: nothing. Now, first of all I want to cover the basics of the BOS ending, and I will not touch on the Railroad or Minutemen, because it is clear that those endings were just thrown in there for more variety.
